Redlight Music was started in 1997 by Shannon Shalako and several friends who lived together in a loft in Boston’s redlight district. Initially Redlight Music (or Redlight Productions, as it was known then) was created to manage underground dance music events, but has since evolved to represent all of Shalako’s musical endeavors. Today the Redlight Music website offers podcasts of new and vintage electronic music, as well as an archive of audio and images from past events.
