Wow! What a trip down memory lane from my favourite dj of the era. So appreciative of all the old classic mix tapes that various folks post at various sites – thank you so much for this one. Such a powerful time – it's amazing how hearing a tape like this can bring so many intense emotions bubbling up. Intense and amazing. Such unbelievably great music. I had some live Onionz sets from back in the day because my friends were promoters in Montreal, but I had never heard this tape. Just killer. Thanks again.

thank u Shalako for putting this dj mix up and for mentioning some nice things about me i really appreciate it. As far as the stories about my behavior. i am going to explain it simply because i am one of those who has survived.

I was given the opportunity to pass from this world to the next and return, a few times (bigger smile. Why? i dont ask, so please try not to either.

U can hear me asking for the intruders to reach for me in this mix AND THEY DID. they reached, loved what they saw,heard and sent me back to you.
After an experience like that, question yourself. How could you not be a loose cannon….

8 years of hospitals, prescribed drugs and then being 100% natural for a decade after, i can share this kind of past stories and many more like it.

im glad i am alive today, my spirits free and i’m still allowed to make music and perform for people.

the best thing about the past is that it is over with.
a warm feeling is that this moment is amazing
and im hoping for an even brighter future.

i hope you can continue to follow your heart and my music,
Thanks to everyone who was there in that era and people who download it now.

18:00 = The Hayden Andre Project – Tribal Life (Bang D Drum Mix)
1:09:04 > got that one too. Gimme a day to nail it down in my collection…First I thought that it is “The Bridge – Something Special” on Nervous but it only uses the same sample…

One of my favorite cassettes. Can’t wait to download and take with me now. I remember the Essence gig and the backward record, but I also remember Onionz starting a lot of his sets in pretty amazing/attention getting ways. We always knew when his set was starting. Thanks for posting all this – excellent music, even better memories.

I haven’t heard this tape is eons! Have to say that I listened to this particular recording a number of times over the years and was always impressed on the selection. An art form gained only by a few and certainly lost over the years.

I used to spin that at Cleveland Circle…this set is absolutely amazing and created right at the time when I came into it all…ONIONZ was/is a genius. So are you for putting all this together.

I didn’t think you could top the Tin Tin MIX but I am 30 minutes into this and it may very well beat out the Tin tin as my Fav Old school red-light mix.

This is so much better than therapy…thank you! I never had this one, but I’m sure I heard it…it’s a new classic for me.

Here’s a request: I have an old tape called “Kelly D – Out of Body Experience v1.5″ that Neith gave me long, long ago. It’s a lot of EyeQ stuff, and has been one of my favorites over the years, but at one point a friend partially recorded over it. Can you dig that one out of someone’s archives and get it up for me? I believe I was told that the DJ was Dave Kelly from Florida. Much obliged
